About Tim Kolonick

Tim Kolonick is a former FBI Special Agent, former U.S. Secret Service Agent, and former Cleveland Police Officer with over 27 years of law enforcement and investigative experience in complex criminal investigations, including human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, crimes against children, violent crime, and financial crimes.

During his FBI career, he led and supervised numerous complex investigations involving sex trafficking, human trafficking, crimes against children, child exploitation, kidnapping, violent crime, financial crimes, and money laundering, many of which were prosecuted in federal, state, and local courts. He also served as lead investigator in numerous trials and supervised investigative units responsible for violent crime, crimes against children, and human trafficking.

As an FBI Supervisory Special Agent, Tim supervised multiple investigative and operational programs, including violent crime, crimes against children, human trafficking, evidence response, community outreach, FBI recruiting, and private sector engagement. He also served as the FBI Cleveland Division Special Events Coordinator, a member of the FBI SWAT Team, and worked with the FBI Crisis Management Unit on significant cases nationwide.

Prior to the FBI, Tim served as a U.S. Secret Service Agent, where he conducted criminal investigations, threat investigations, and protective operations. He began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer with the Cleveland Police Department.

Tim is a graduate of the FBI Academy, the U.S. Secret Service Training Academy, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation program, and the Cleveland Police Academy.
