Tim Kolonick, over twenty-year career as a Special Agent in the FBI’s Criminal and National Security Branches
Tim Kolonick, a retired FBI Agent, former U.S. Secret Service Agent and Cleveland Police Officer, gained nearly 25 years of complex investigation and litigation experience. During his 20-year career as an FBI Agent stationed in Cleveland, Ohio and Washington DC., he earned dozens of awards and commendations to include the FBI Director's Award. Tim led investigations on hundreds of complex criminal violations including violent crime, financial crimes, money laundering, human trafficking and domestic terrorism matters. He has participated as the lead investigator in dozens of trials at both the federal and local levels.
Tim was also an FBI Supervisory Special Agent over several units to include violent crime, crimes against children, human trafficking, community outreach, recruiting, hiring, private sector engagement, InfraGard program, Domestic Security Alliance Counsel (DSAC) program, evidence response team (ERT) and the FBI’s polygraph unit. Tim served as the FBI’s Cleveland Division Special Events Coordinator, member of the FBI SWAT Team and traveled extensively with the FBI’s Crisis Management Unit working on some of the most significant cases.
Prior to entering the FBI, Tim served as a U.S. Secret Service Agent where he specialized in personal protection, event and venue security, criminal investigations, protective operations training, and threat investigations. Tim started his law enforcement career as a patrol officer with the Cleveland Police Department. This multi-agency experience uniquely positions him to understand your investigative and security needs.

Tim is a graduate of the FBI Academy, the Secret Service Training Academy, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation and the Cleveland Police Department Academy.
Tim is a third-generation Clevelander who attended Saint Edward High School and graduated from The Ohio State University. Tim was a member of The Ohio State University and Cleveland Rovers Rugby Clubs.
